Educational Program

Bring your students to see the world’s largest all-breed livestock show! On a field trip to NAILE, students can get up close to their favorite barnyard animals. They’ll be thrilled by the team penning and roping during the quarter horse competition; amazed by the gentle giants pulling hand-crafted wagons at top speeds in the draft horse competition; and impressed by youth their own age competing in junior shows.
For more details and to order student tickets, click here. Admission for students is only $2 per person. School groups and teachers can download curriculum information to create lesson plans and customize field trips.

SELF-GUIDED TOURS

Students learn about various species and breeds of animals through self-guided tours that let them learn at their own pace. They’ll explore barns, show rings, educational exhibits and more.
CHILDREN'S BARNYARD
Students can interact with barnyard animals, including rabbits, llamas, mini horses, lambs and baby ducklings.
ART OF THE WOOL SHOWCASE
Students learn how wool goes from being on a sheep to becoming a shawl. There are also displays on fleece, spinning, weaving and more.
SOUTHLAND DAIRY FARMERS MOBILE DAIRY CLASSROOM
This is an innovative program that brings the dairy experience directly to children. A trained instructor will demonstrate how to milk a cow, describe how milk goes from the farm to the consumer, and then answer questions from the audience. Students and teachers will share an experience that includes math, science, health (nutrition), and agriculture, all presented in a mobile classroom format.
