NAILE Education Curriculum

Teachers booking North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) tours will receive an extensive original curriculum package designed to make the most of your trip to the NAILE and serve as a valuable classroom resource for future units about agriculture. These pre- and post-tour materials include dozens of multidisciplinary lesson plans for all grade levels as well as student worksheets.  The free materials emphasize Core Content and are available in PDF format below or in printed form (by special request – see reservation form).

The Teaching Curriculum for the NAILE is in an ever-changing format, to always include the most up-to-date information about the NAILE. This curriculum is beneficial to all schools attending the NAILE, whether it is used before or after their scheduled visit to the NAILE.

NAILE Breeds Listing(PDF) A list of all species and breeds that you could possibly see during your visit to the NAILE. For more information about each of these breeds and pictures representing them, please visit the Department of Animal Science at OklahomaStateUniversity website (www.ansi.okstate.edu/breeds). They have developed areas on their Website to give further information and a brief history of many of these breeds, plus much more additional information on livestock.

Activities for the Classroom(PDF) Ideas and activities for all grade levels to incorporate your class’s visit to the NAILE into the classroom.
